• What is Communityfor?

Communityfor is a branch of Community of Faith, a multi-denominational church with campuses in Houston, Texas & Cancún, México. We focus on transforming lives through building relationships, both within our own community & across community boundaries.

Our international work is a component of our church philosophy that we should be active in transforming our community, in a local & world sense; it is not a more glamorous & conveniently disconnected alternative to our Houston- & Cancún-based partnerships.

We work to facilitate cross-cultural relationships not because we intend to share our vast knowledge or to fix things, but because we need the friendship & wisdom of others to become better christians. Because we're called to be a church where there are no Jew or Greek, male or female, servant or free—& that won't happen without concerted effort & struggle.

• How are you different from any other missions organization? Why doesn't Community of Faith contribute to established organizations?

We intentionally choose to work primarily through the church rather than through other organizations because it allows us the freedom to build relationships as a community & as individuals from within that community. Because of this decision, we're able to partner with other church communities, as well as more traditional non-profit organizations and communities. We're able to be a Communityfor others in a tangible, relational way.

• How can I help?

Visit our website and familiarize yourself with our partnerships. Spread the word. Sign up for our online newsletter. You can give to specific projects through our secure online store or at any Community of Faith service. Most of all, please pray regularly for our partnerships.
